Established in 1926, Kruger National Park is South Africa's largest and oldest. I spent two consecutive months driving a small rental car through it, staying at various camps inside. I had very close encounters with African wildlife, both from my vehicle and on multi-day walking excursions known as Wilderness Trails. I was able to photograph the famous Big Five: elephant, rhinoceros, buffalo, lion, and leopard, as well as most of the mammal, bird, and reptile species that live here. During my final week, I visited the MalaMala Private Reserve, where I witnessed incredible hunting scenes.
